The School of Social Work recently marked its 50 year anniversary with an event at the John Curtin Gallery. The event had close to 50 alumni, current and past staff and current students in attendance. Many attendees took the opportunity to reflect on their time at Curtin, which was helped along by historic photographs on display from past social work classes.
Special guests included 2016 John Curtin Medal winner Dr Ann O’Neil, Sabina Leitman from the Social Work Advisory Group, Michael Berry, the WA President of the Australian Association of Social Work, Provost Professor John Cordery, Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor Health Sciences Professor Lorna Rosenwax and Head of Social Work Department, Professor Donna Chung.
